Terms and conditions

Earlestown Saturday Flea Market

The market takes place every Saturday throughout the year from 7.00am to 2.00pm on the same site as the Friday market.

Additional Information

  • All Traders must book online by 2:30pm the day before they wish to trade. Traders will not be able to turn-up and trade on any Saturday without prior booking.
  • Traders are required to turn up between 7:00am and 7:30am to be shown to their space.
  • No items are to be placed within the aisles, which must be kept clear at all times.
  • Traders must not set up on any stall without permission from staff on the day. If any trader does so, they will be asked to pack up and move and/or leave the market.
  • Excess waste should not be left at the market. St Helens Borough Council is not responsible for unsold items and traders must take these away with them at the end of the market. Any excessive waste will be reported.

Trading Positions

Trading positions are in three categories:

  • Pitch - £16.00
  • Nine-foot stall - £19.00
  • 12-foot stall with metal roof - £20.00

Prohibited Goods

  • All counterfeit or copied goods including CDs, DVDs and videos
  • Newspapers, magazines
  • Any animals, birds, reptiles, etc.
  • Tobacco/E-cigs
  • Alcohol
  • Catalogue returns or seconds and damaged stock
  • Weapons of all description

For health and safety reasons, the following second-hand goods are prohibited from sale:

  • All cookers and fires (gas/electric)
  • All washing machines and fridges
  • All cosmetics and toiletries
  • All baby and children's car seats

Persons found selling prohibited goods will be asked to remove the goods from sale or leave the site immediately.

The market officers are required, as part of their official duties, to inspect all items brought onto the car boot sale. All goods brought onto the market will be inspected prior to sale, whether packed in a vehicle or displayed on a pitch. We would be grateful if you would help the market officers by complying with the above.

Racism and Abuse

St Helens Council have a zero-tolerance policy for racism, abuse and aggressive behaviour. Any traders engaged in any of this behaviour will be asked to leave immediately and will be banned from future markets. Incidents will also be reported to the police where applicable.
