An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead and manage a small team of dedicated training and development staff who commission and deliver programmes of training for the Adults and Children’s Social Work/Care teams, within the Council’s People’s Services Department.

Working to develop and implement a comprehensive workforce strategy in the above areas of service provision, the successful applicant will need to have knowledge of developing complex workforce development projects involving detailed training interventions, sometimes in response to strategic service reviews and inspections. Skills to influence and negotiate at the highest level coupled with an ability to manage a small team with an extremely varied workload delivering to an agreed set of outcomes are essential.

A strong communicator both verbal and written supported by the ability to collate and analyse workforce data to evidence and effect organisational change and development in the above services, is a key requirement of this post.
