In this key strategic public health role you will be joining a dynamic team and play a significant part in addressing the major strategic challenges for health, social care and inequalities in the borough.
You will be a suitably experienced clinical commissioner who has a clear understanding of the role of public health commissioning and has had significant experience of commissioning clinical services. You will have experience of developing effective partnerships across health, local government and with wider partners and be able to demonstrate success in programme management and major organisational change. This role will be accountable for all the public health commissioning and will link with a wider team of commissioner across children’s and adults health and social care both within the council and St. Helens CCG. You will also have a strategic lead for Drugs and Alcohol and Sexual Health within your portfolio, as well as oversight of the commissioning of public health services from general practice and community pharmacies.
