The Council's Business IT Section has an immediate vacancy for an ICT Analyst Programmer working in our Application (Development) Unit in Lincoln House.

Working as part of a development team you will report to one of our Technical Design Architects to deliver and support a wide range of in-house and third party applications. It would be beneficial to have had exposure to one or more of the following: - Microsoft SharePoint, Low Code Platforms, C#, Lotus script and formula, Java, Umbraco, Adobe Photoshop, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS and Mobile Development.

The Applications Unit support a wide range of packaged software, along with colleagues in our Production Support Unit; these include Capita ONE, Liquid Logic IAS/ICS/Single View, Academy Revenues and Benefits, Zellis payroll etc. so you could be called on to place our styling onto third party systems.

Several reporting tools are used within the unit to supplement systems development. These include IBM Data Quant, Crystal Reports and Business Objects; we are currently reviewing other solutions and platforms.

The section is ISO/IEC 20000:2011 accredited and it would be advantageous but not essential for you to have an ITIL IT Service Management background.

The attached job description/ career grade document clarifies the requirements at each stage of the Analyst programmer role leading to the position of Senior ICT Analyst Programmer. The grade the successful applicant will start on will be dependent upon their experience.
