We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to work as a Casework Manager within the Additional Needs Team on a fixed-term, (12 Month) basis.
As a Casework Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that the special educational needs of children and young people in the borough are met by carrying out statutory assessments and drawing up Education, Health and Care Plans, (EHCPs), as well as ensuring that annual reviews of EHCPs are carried out and that appropriate action from the review recommendations are taken.
The team works closely with parents, schools and other professionals, to ensure that effective, appropriate provision is made for pupils with Special Educational Needs in both mainstream and specialist settings.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational, written and oral communication skills. A solid understanding of the Local Authority’s statutory responsibilities under the Children and Families Act, (2014) is essential, alongside a robust understanding of the SEN Code of Practice, (2014).
