Working for People’s Services
Children’s Services was recently subject to inspection by Ofsted who judged that overall services ‘required improvement’ but with some significant areas of strength. Ofsted noted that:
* Our workforce strategy and supervision arrangements are of good quality
* There is a solid offer of support for newly qualified social workers and those in the first year of qualification
* There is a comprehensive training and development programme to support qualified social workers
* Social workers feel secure and supported in their decision making
The service has embarked on a wide range of improvement work to improve outcomes for children and families.
You will work to help support the effective and timely delivery of appropriate intervention and support services to children and their families within our Assessment Teams.
The successful applicant will:
* Be an effective practitioner with at least 3 years experience post qualification
* Be committed to continuous professional development and practice improvement
* Possess good assessment and planning skills
* Have the ability to engage children and families
