Do you have the skills, enthusiasm, and ambition to play a significant role in improving the quality of health services in St Helens?

The post holder will provide support to Public Health Commissioners and be a key member of the Public Health Team whose over-arching goal is to improve the lives of people in St Helens, working with a range of partners and local people.

The post holder will promote and support the effective use of information, data, knowledge and technology to improve, inform and support a portfolio of projects, services and initiatives. The role also involves the management of financial information and the processing of invoices.

This role will give the post holder an opportunity to understand the commissioning function and/or further develop your skills in commissioning and provide a vital project and administration support role particularly around GP and Pharmacy Services and commissioning in portfolio areas such as substance misuse and sexual health.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to enhance their Local Authority career and these are exciting times for Public Health in local government which pose significant challenges and opportunities in terms of meeting local need, securing high quality service delivery and value for money.

We are looking for a suitably qualified, skilled individual with the ability to work as part of a team and to communicate clearly.
