The Sports Development Team, in partnership with local voluntary community groups, have established a number of sporting projects throughout the borough with over 1200 young people participating in activity each month. Additionally the Couch 2 5k (walking to run programme) has proved so successful that from September 2018 has been undertaken within the schools programme.
We are now looking for suitably qualified coaches who are professional, enthusiastic and who are comfortable in leading sessions to assist in the delivery of these projects.
The coach will be;
Qualified to a minimum of National Governing Body of Sport Level 1 in one or preferably more sports.
Be part of a pool of sports coaches employed to allow the flexibility to set up programmes more quickly, on demand and ensure the levels of quality are maintained.
Available for sessions throughout the day and evening, this can sometimes include weekend work.
Have within the last 2 years have attended a recognized Safeguarding Course and First Aid Qualification. In addition training in Sports Coach UK courses and /or Run England courses will be provided and you are required to provide to necessary information for a DBS check.
