The post is based within the Electoral and Admin Services Section and you will work as part of a small team providing administrative support to both Electoral Services and Legal Services.
We are looking for a team player with the ability to undertake routine tasks quickly and accurately, someone who has previous experience of clerical work in an office environment and who has the skills and abilities to re-schedule work according to competing priorities. Knowledge and experience of working within Electoral registration and Elections would be an advantage.
In addition to providing administrative support to Legal Services you will assist with the annual canvass of electors each year and deal with day to day enquires form members of the public.
You will also assist in the Local, Mayoral and Police & Crime Commissioner elections taking place in May 2020.
Normal hours are 18.50 per week which will be worked at the end of the week.
Staff will be expected to work additional hours during the busiest periods, mainly during the period leading up to an election.
