We are looking to recruit to a temporary post to cover maternity leave for a period of up to 12 months, within the Early Years strand of the Children's Disability Service.
The postholder will provide a specialist, individually tailored package of assessment, monitoring and intervention for pre-school children with additional needs. In addition to providing a home visiting service to a caseload of families, the successful applicant will work as Lead Professional for a number of children on their caseload, liasing closely with parents/carers and other involved professionals. Inclusive, setting-based support for transition may also be provided for a small number of children on the caseload, within their local early years settings.
This post requires a sound knowledge of child development, excellent communication, listening and interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a member of a team.
