An opportunity has arisen for a Team Manager within the Later Life, Review and DoLS service within St Helens Peoples Services.

The team works with all individuals aged 67 + who have a variety of both physical and mental health needs and require a package of social care support.
The team also manage the statutory reviews of all individuals within the department and co-ordinate the DoLS process within the authority.

The team are a very busy team dealing with a high number of cases of a complex nature and taking a lead role in safeguarding investigations.

Candidates must have a detailed knowledge of current legislation related to social care, knowledge and experience of safeguarding procedures and practices, and understand the principles of assessment and care management. A minimum of three years’ experience in Adult Social Care and health including experience in directing and supervising staff is also an essential requirement.

Leadership and communication skills are essential as is the ability to motivate and guide staff pro-actively and ensure the standards expected within the authority are adhered to. The successful candidate will join an experienced and supportive management team leading and managing this busy service.

You must possess a relevant social work qualification - CQSW, DiPSW, CSS or an NVQ Level 4 Care / Management or equivalent..
