We are looking to recruit 2 Mobile Cleaners to work at various schools and council establishments across the borough. The post is to cover primarily for absent Cleaners at Schools and other buildings throughout the Borough. Duties include routine and periodic cleaning in Schools and routine cleaning in other buildings. All duties to be completed within Health & Safety regulations.

Applicants must have the ability to prioritise their work and have good communication skills as the successful candidates will be required to communicate with Head teachers, Site Managers, Caretakers, Cleaners and the general public.

You must have the ability to work on your own initiative and also in a team environment.

Successful candidates will be expected to cover for absent Caretakers, Senior Cleaners and School Crossing Patrol Operatives, this will be paid at the appropriate rate of pay.

You will also be expected to complete basic paperwork.

Qualifications in Building Cleaning are desirable but not essential. The successful candidate will however be expected to undertake the relevant qualifications.

You must have a current full driving licence and own a car, for which mileage at the appropriate rate of pay will be paid. If an applicant cannot drive as they are precluded by disability applications are still welcome. Applicants are asked to provide a statement as to how they will be in a position to alternatively meet the requirements to enable the duties to be carried out effectively and efficiently with reasonable adjustments.
