We are looking to recruit Mobile Cleaner's for 20 hours per week to cover primarily for absent Cleaners at Schools and other buildings throughout the Borough. Duties include routine and periodic cleaning in Schools and routine cleaning in other buildings. All duties to be completed within Health & Safety regulations.

Applicants must have the ability to prioritise their work and have good communication skills as the successful candidate will be required to communicate with Head teachers, Site Managers, Caretakers, Cleaners and on some occasions the general public.

You must have the ability to work on your own initiative and also in a team environment.

Successful candidates will be expected to cover for absent Caretakers if Mobile Caretakers are unavailable, this will be paid at the appropriate rate of pay.

Flexibility is required to cover absences of Cleaning and School Crossing Patrol staff.

You will also be expected to complete basic paperwork.

Qualifications in Building Cleaning are desirable but not essential. The successful candidate will however be expected to undertake the relevant qualifications.

You must have a current full driving licence and own a car, for which mileage at the appropriate rop will be paid. If an applicant cannot drive as they are precluded by disability applications are still welcome.
