St Helens Council are seeking to recruit an experienced and committed Adoption Social Worker to join its team based in the centre of St Helens. The postholder will work directly with children identified for adoption, the team is located with the Looked After Children's Team to ensure co-working and excellent care planning for children. There will be strong links maintained with our shared adoption service (WWISH) who are responsible for the recruitment and assessment of prospective adopters.

A social work qualification
Experience of direct work with vulnerable children and their families
A commitment to anti-discriminatory practice
A clear focus on Safeguarding children
Enthusiasm, commitment and resilience
