Description...

The Education Welfare Service is a statutory service that offers a quality provision to children, their families and schools. The aim of the service is to enable pupils to attend school so they can benefit from the educational opportunities available and support families to resolve any problems of non attendance.

A sound understanding of the education system and experience of working with children and families is required. Qualification in teaching, youth work, social work or similar would be desirable.

The post is subject to Enhanced DBS disclosure. This Authority is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
