Description...

The Council has statutory obligations in respect of complaints and concerns raised by children and adult users of social care services and their families. The Performance, Complaints and Appeals Officer will be responsible for providing a dynamic, sensitive and responsive customer care and complaints service and the development and evaluation of appropriate systems which ensures the council meets these statutory obligations.

The Performance, Complaints and Appeals Officer will also require actively promoting best practice and sounding customer care across the range of children and adult social care services by using feedback from complaints as a focus for training and continuous professional development and service improvement.

The successful candidate will be customer centred, an excellent communicator and passionate about improving outcomes for children, adults and their families in an impartial manner. They will also have experience of working in the public sector and have a sound understanding and knowledge of social care.
