Required as soon as possible two Level 3 Senior Learning Assistants. One to work in the Key Stage 1/ 2 Pupil Referral Unit and One to work in the Key Stage 3 Pupil Referral Unit. The Pupil Referral Units are for pupils at risk of exclusion from mainstream school who are experiencing social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.
The people appointed will support the development and achievement of pupils who are dual registered with the PRU’s and their mainstream school. This support may involve one to one, in class, support within the child’s mainstream school or on Outdoor Education activities. Enthusiasm, a good team ethic and an understanding of working with pupils with challenging behaviour is essential.
