This post is based at St Peter’s Primary School in Newton le Willows. Hours of work are 37 per week and will be split between the times of 06.30 – 10.30 and 14.00 – 18.00 Monday to Thursday and 06.30 – 09.30 and 14.00 – 18.00 on Friday.
The Caretaker will be responsible for the care and security of the school premises, which will include opening and closing. The caretaker will also be responsible for alarm response (out of hours), which will be paid at the appropriate rate for call outs.
The Caretaker may, from time to time be required to work overtime for after school activities, for which the appropriate rate of pay will be paid.
The duties consist of basic D.I.Y, minor maintenance and repair. The Caretaker will also have some cleaning duties to include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, buffing etc. The successful candidate will be required to undertake training, for example manual handling, ladder training, and electrical awareness etc.
