We are looking for a Caretaker who is flexible and hard working to join our dedicated, friendly and vibrant team.

This post is based at St Batholomews Catholic Primary School. The postholder will be expected to work 37 hours per week (split shifts). The hours of work are 6.30am - 10.00am and 2.30pm - 6.30pm Monday to Thursday and 6.30am - 9.30am and 2.30pm - 6.30pm Fridays.

The Caretaker will be responsible for the care and security of the school premises, opening and closing, and alarm response (out of hours), which will be paid at the appropriate rate for call outs.

The Caretaker, will from time to time be required to work overtime for after school activities, for which the appropriate rate will be paid.

The duties consist of basic DIY, minor maintenance and repair. The Caretaker will also have some cleaning duties to include sweeping, mopping, vacuming, buffing etc.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake training, for example manual handling, ladder training, electrical awareness etc.
