Come and work alongside our highly effective Governor Support Services Team to work with and for School Governing Bodies in the Borough.

We are looking to appoint a number of enthusiastic and experienced people to the post of part time Governing Body Clerk. Working alongside our Governor Support Services team, you will act as Clerk to a number of
St Helens schools' Governing Bodies. The majority of Governing Body meeting take place in the evening with some starting at 4 or 5pm, therefore you will need to have a flexible approach to working times. A good understanding of current educational or management issues within schools and Local Authorities is essential, as is a recent experience of working with school governors.

You will:
- Be able to offer advice and administrative support to Governing Bodies
- Be flexible in your working time
- Be enthusiastic, experienced, and able to follow procedures
- Be willing to cover colleagues at short notice when possible
- Be able to keep accurate notes of meetings and produce minutes to an expected standard

We will:
- Offer induction support on taking up post
- Offer training and support to enable independent working
- Work alongside you initially as you learn
- Offer flexible working arrangements

This post is subject to external funding, which is reviewed annually at the end of each financial year on the 31st March.
