Rainhill Community Nursery is a Local Authority maintained Nursery School, serving families in the village of Rainhill and surrounding areas and providing early education for 3-4 year olds.
We require as soon as possible a suitably experienced person to work in our school office to provide support with clerical and financial matters, for 35 hours per week, term-time only.
Duties will comprise a range of tasks which are likely to include:-
Processing orders and invoices using SIMS FMS;
Processing attendance information using SIMS;
Liaising with suppliers to ensure value for money
Liaising with the Local Authority Property Services department regarding daily responsive repairs/maintenance;
Working with existing staff in maintaining Wraparound Care finance and School Fund to audit criteria;
Reconciling bank statements for budget, school fund and wraparound care;
Maintaining filing systems for orders and invoices
Producing financial and attendance reports
Dealing with day-to-day enquiries from parents and carers, suppliers and other callers;
Administering school admissions and associated tasks;
Producing letters, flyers and other communications as required.
The Nursery's administrative staff are usually the first contact that parents and carers will have with the Nursery. The Nursery also hosts professional development visits from practitioners from other settings, from the local and wider areas. The successful candidate will therefore play an important role in maintaining the Nursery's reputation within the community and will be able to demonstrate a range of skills and strengths including:-
* ideally, previous experience of SIMS FMS;
* the highest level of integrity and discretion at all times;
* a tactful, calm and diplomatic approach;
* the flexibility to work beyond the appointed hours when necessary.
Although the post is directly responsible to the Office Manager, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ablity to work unsupervised and on their own initiative, as well as part of a team.
