The Governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, flexible and hard working Learning Assistant to commence in September 2017. The hours of work are 17.5 each week (12 Noon until 3.30 p.m.) term time only, plus 5 INSET days. The post is subject to external SEN funding and will therefore cease if the funding ceases, or if the pupil leaves the school.

The successful candidate will be required to support the additional needs of a pupil in the Early Years Foundation Stage on a one to one basis in order to assist with physical/medical needs as set out in the health care plan. The pupil will also require learning support to help him achieve IEP targets devised by the Class Teacher and Inclusion Manager. Relevant training and advice will be provided by specialist medically trained staff. There will also be a requirement to support the school in the following ways:

· Supporting teaching staff across the year groups in terms of administration and display work, including record keeping.
· Supervision of pupils and promotion of good behaviour.
· Establishing positive relationships with parents/carers.
· Contributing to the ethos of the school and supporting extra curricular activities and events.
