Haydock is a smaller than average High School located in the north of St Helens.

The school which was established in 1932 is a community school with strong relationships with the area. The strong community spirit can be found across the school which is supported by its small size.

Everyone in the school is known by name resulting in close knit relationships between staff and students. Pastoral support goes above and beyond.

The commitment, work and approach within Haydock High is evidenced in the Haydock Charter and the school motto ‘We Care, We Support, We Achieve’.

The Governors wish to appoint a strong, visionary leader who will inspire, challenge and assist us in moving forward in the next stage of our school improvement from September 2018 (or April 2018 if available).

This is a unique opportunity for a talented and ambitious person to be the senior leader at Haydock High School working with the Executive Headteacher and an able Senior Leadership Team.

The successful candidate will have:

learning and
 personal commitment to ensure high standards throughout the school.
