Required for 1st January 2016, the Governors at Rainhill High School are seeking to appoint a dynamic, forward thinking and hardworking Head of Physics to join a thriving Science Faculty in a popular and high achieving School on the edge of Merseyside.

We are looking for an outstanding teacher with a track record of excellent exam results who will bring leadership potential that we can nurture and develop. The successful candidate will lead the teaching of ‘A’ level and GCSE Physics and Physics within Core and Additional Science GCSE.

This post attracts a Recruitment and Retention payment of £2500pa to the appointed candidate, in recognition of the short supply of high quality Physicians. As well as Recruitment and Retention Allowence, this post includes TLR 2B payment of £4309.

The School has a good local reputation and is significantly oversubscribed. Judged ‘Good’ in November 2014, all the ingredients are present to push on for an ‘Outstanding’ judgment next time around.

Rainhill High School became a Trust School on 1st December 2009.
