The Governors of this outstanding school are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, caring Learning Assistant to work with a child with additional needs. We are seeking someone who:

- has experience of dealing with children who have autism, ideally in a primary school setting;
- has good knowledge of ASD and how it affects the learning of pupils;
- can nurture and support individual pupils in the mainstream classroom or autism provision, whilst having the flexibility and confidence to find different ways to help them engage with their learning;
- has good literacy and numeracy skills;
- is reliable, flexible and has the ability to work as part of a team;
- is a dedicated learning assistant with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and the desire to have a positive impact on building good relationships with children, parents, staff and agencies;
- has a flexible approach to duties and working hours will be required;
- has a willingness to be involved in the wider life of the school.
