The Governors of this outstanding school are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, caring Learning Assistant to work with a child with additional needs. The successful candidate will have recent and relevant experience as an SEN Learning Assistant. You must also have a passion for working with primary aged pupils and be dedicated to making a positive impact on their learning and development. You will have a Level 2 or higher qualification or alternatively extensive SEN experience supporting children in the Primary phase who have emotional and behavioural difficulties or exercise other complex and challenging behaviours. The challenges you will face day to day mean you must be a dedicated learning assistant with a key passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and the desire to have a positive impact on building good relationships with children, parents, staff and agencies. You will need to have good time keeping and preparation skills in order to be a fantastic asset to the school.

The successful applicant must be willing to take ownership of tailoring learning and resources to the child they work with, as well as working as part of a team. A flexible approach to duties and working hours will be required, together with a willingness to be involved in the wider life of the school.
