Ashurst Primary School is situated in the Blackbrook area of St Helens and is within easy reach of the M6 and routes to Manchester and Liverpool. We are a very popular, oversubscribed, one-form entry school with 251 pupils including a Nursery. We can offer amodern and attractive environment in which to work which is well resourced with good professionaldevelopment opportunities.

The Governors of this caring and friendly school are seeking to appoint highly motivated and committed
professionals with the qualities and skills to help our school achieve aspirational outcomes for its pupils. You will work with our Headteacher to sustain and develop our vision of ‘Excellence Everyday’, enabling us to build on our current strengths to achieve even more than we already do.

This is a full-time post with a class teaching responsibility. Non-contact time will be given to ensure
leadership and management duties can be accomplished.The post is for aschool improvement lead teacher, which will initially be concerned with raising standards in Literacy.
Governors welcome applications from teacherswith relevant experience across the primary age range.

The successful candidate will:
· Be an outstanding teacher with a proven track record in raising standards and with the highest expectations for pupils' achievement and behaviour.
· Be a strong leader with excellent interpersonal management skills and the ability to support, challenge and inspire others.
· Have the knowledge and skills to support effective teaching and learning.
· Have a proven ability to drive forward developments in the curriculum.
