Grange Valley Primary School is a family orientated, caring community school where all children thrive and have the opportunity to exceed their potential through work and play. We foster a caring and welcoming ethos which is commented upon by many visitors and our children achieve well. Aside from academic success, we pride ourselves on giving our children many opportunities to learn and develop in order to become great citizens in the future.

We are looking to recruit two Learning Assistants to support pupils.
Post 1, in the first instance, is across Year 2 & 3.
Post 2, in the first instance, is within our Early Years Foundation Stage and lower KS1.

Both posts are subject to funding and will cease in line with this. The posts could potentially be based anywhere with in the school.

The duties will include the following:
· Supporting pupils across the whole school, including those with Special Educational Needs.
· Supporting small groups of pupils with literacy and numeracy interventions
· Supporting teaching staff in terms of administration and display work, including record keeping.
· Supervision of pupils and promotion of good behaviour
· Establishing positive relationships with parents/carers
· Contributing to the ethos of the school, and supporting extra-curricular activities and events.

The posts are subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Section Service (DBS) Enhanced Disclosure Certificate.
