“An Amazing Journey Starts Here”

We wish to recruit a Skilled Medical Assistant with effect from the beginning of September 2016. This is a newly created post, and the successful candidate will join the School Pastoral Team and will exercise discretion at all times in relation to confidential matters in respect of this post. In the first instance, the role will be to support pupils in cases of illness/distress and to maintain and disseminate all current records for student’s health and welfare.

Other duties will include responsibility for first aid in school, maintaining pupil records, liaising with outside agencies, dispensing and administering medication to students, including pupils with specific medical requirements. A full list of the duties is included in the job description.

The successful candidate will need to be a fully trained designated first aider with an appropriate medical qualification, and be able to offer counselling to students. An ability to make sound judgements and form sound professional relationships with staff and pupils is essential.
