We are looking to appoint a HLTA to work within our MLD provision
This post is subject to SEN funding which will cease if the financial support is withdrawn.

You are invited to join a strong team of learning support assistants. Your main focus will be to complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision. This will involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals/groups or whole classes and monitoring pupils and assessing, recording and reporting on pupils’ achievement, progress and development.

The role will be based in our MLD provision with children and young people in need of additional support, including those with a variety of learning disabilities including Moderate Learning Difficulties.

You will be responsible for the management and development of a specialist area within the school and/or management of other teaching assistants including allocation and monitoring of work, appraisal and training. You will be required to undertake a daily duties throughout the day including a lunchtime duty which involves supervising students and a morning duty before school.

The post is subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Enhanced Disclosure Certificate.
