The Governors of this highly successful school (currently oversubscribed for September) are seeking to appoint a permanent, full time teacher of Boys PE from September 2015.

Haydock High School is a ‘good’ school – Ofsted February 2013.

We are committed to achieving the highest standards for our pupils in a vibrant, well-resourced environment, and will appoint an outstanding, innovative, well-motivated and determined teacher to be part of this high achieving department.

We require a highly skilled and motivated teacher who specialises in the major games. An interest in Outdoor and Adventurous Activities would also be advantageous. You must have high expectations and the ability to teach Physical Education across both Key Stages, up to and including GCSE. The Physical Education Department is very successful. We have consistently achieved well above national average in GCSE Physical Education in the last 6 years. The successful candidate will be expected to make a significant contribution to raising achievement and to extra-curricular activities.

Applications are also welcome from new entrants to the profession for whom a very good programme of induction and professional development will be provided.
