Description...

Required September 2019

We are a family on a journey striving to reach our potential

St. Teresa’s Catholic Primary School is a welcoming and successful school. Due to the promotion of our previous headteacher to a larger Catholic school we are seeking to make a new appointment for September 2019. In the interim the school is being lead by an experienced headteacher who has been seconded for one year until a permanent appointment can be made.
In the latest inspections St. Teresa’s was judged to be a Good school by OFSTED and an Outstanding school by the Archdiocese.
Our new headteacher, together with the support of the Local Authority, the Archdiocese and the Governors will continue to build on the rapid progress made over recent years and take our school to the next level. We are seeking to appoint a committed, practising Catholic who can help our children to progress socially, academically and spiritually.

We are looking for someone who has:
· A clear child-centred vision of Catholic education
· A strong, personal dedication to the Catholic Faith
· A belief that all children should achieve their true potential
· The ability to lead, motivate and inspire the whole school community
· The skills to manage people and resources to secure a shared vision
· High expectations of children’s behaviour and achievement
· A willingness to embrace new challenges

We offer:
· A strong Catholic ethos
· Well motivated and enthusiastic pupils who are eager to learn
· Committed, professional and hardworking staff who form a strong team
· A supportive and forward looking Governing body with a clear vision for the future of the school
· Excellent home, school, parish and community links
· A commitment to your own professional development

We would encourage visits to our school. Please contact our school office on 01744 678667 to arrange this.
The post is subject to satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Enhanced Disclosure.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
