The Governing Body of St Mary’s Catholic Primary School, Birchley is seeking to appoint an inspirational Headteacher who is a committed practising catholic. The governors, staff and children are excited by the opportunity to appoint an experienced and dynamic leader to help our friendly village school to maintain its outstanding status.

Our school offers the successful candidate an opportunity to lead the school community in a happy and pleasant environment. The school has excellent links with the Parish and wider community, an enthusiastic and committed staff and wonderful engaging children.

We are looking for a Headteacher with strong leadership qualities who can build upon the school’s success. We are looking for someone who:

· Has a clear understanding of the ethos and vision of a Catholic School.
· Has extensive leadership experience and proven success in a senior leadership role in a Catholic Primary School setting.
· Is passionate, hardworking and willing to keep this school outstanding in every way.
· Puts pupils first and have significant impact on pupil achievement by settings consistent expectations on teaching standards, pupil progress and learning outcomes.
· Is innovative and can bring new ideas to build on current success.
· Will continue to raise standards, expectations and performance further by building on existing good practice and inspiring staff and pupils.
· Will encourage, motivate, support and develop staff, constantly seeking improvement and sharing our aspiration to be outstanding in all areas.
