The Governors of Sutton Manor Primary School are seeking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic senior learning assistant (level 3) to work alongside and support our Nursery teacher in our maintained school nursery, 16.6 hours per week (mornings only).

We are a 26 place morning only Nursery, within an expanding Early Years Unit catering for children ages 2-5.

The successful candidate will ideally have:-

- a very strong understanding of the development matters framework, child development, especially for children aged from 2 to 5, acquired through high quality training and first hand work experience;
- recent, successful experience of work in an early years setting - preferably in the maintained sector;
- the ability to undertake the role of Key Worker, including maintenance of children's progress profiles;
- The ability to demonstrate the highest quality interactions with children, and to carry out useful and accurate observations as part of the assessment process;
- a positive and solution-focused attitude to all aspects of work, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
