The Governors wish to appoint an outstanding classroom practitioner with proven leadership experience from September 2016 to promote achievement and wellbeing of staff and pupils.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate their own impact on teaching and learning across the curriculum areas and key stages, and have a clear understanding of all areas of school improvement in order to support achievement and progress throughout the school.

In addition to the responsibilities of class teacher set out in the teachers’ pay and conditions document, you will also undertake the following responsibilities:

· Work as part of the curriculum leadership team auditing and monitoring practice and setting
reviewing targets for school improvement.
· Model and disseminate best practice within the year group and beyond.
· Moderation of work across core subjects.
· Deliver and facilitate professional development and lead at staff meetings.
· Be able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
· Mentor students, school direct staff and recently qualified teachers.
· Be confident in presenting information to Governors and partner agencies.
· Maintaining an audit of resources ensuring suitable equipment is well stocked and easily
accessible.
· Inspire and motivate a large staff team, providing an essential layer between staff and the Senior
Leadership Team.
