The Governors of this friendly, thriving & dynamic school are looking to appoint a Learning Mentor to support pupils and families helping them to engage fully with the learning process. This is a role where you would work with students individually and in small groups, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and realise their full potential. The successful candidate will also be expected to liaise with families, developing trust with pupils, parents and staff.
Experience in mentoring/counselling/coaching would be an advantage.

We are looking for a learning mentor with:
· The ability to manage a caseload and facilitate children and young people’s learning and development through mentoring whilst monitoring and reviewing the impact of such work
· The ability and experience to contribute to the identification of barriers to learning for individual children and young people and provide them with a range of strategies for overcoming the barriers
· The ability to communicate effectively at all levels in school and with children, parents, external agencies and governors
· The ability to support children and young people’s successful transfer and transition in learning and development contexts
· The commitment and drive in helping children achieve their potential
· The willingness to support our most vulnerable children
