To approve fees and charges for chargeable courses delivered through ACL from October 30th 2017.

Prices appropriate to local circumstances, in line with neighbouring and comparator authorities, offering a realistic chance to generate more income.
Reason for Decision:
ACL fees and charges for First Aid Training have been examined to see: · Are they are set at appropriate levels, taking into account local circumstances · Are they in line with those charged by neighbouring and comparator authorities · Does the level of demand indicate opportunity to increase fees and charges with a realistic prospect of generating additional income. With regard to traded services to schools, this is the first year that such services have been offered in this format.

Increased fees may reduce take up of courses.

Price increases suggested are in line with those charged by neighbouring and comparator authorities.
