To retain the existing fees and charges for Parks, Open Spaces & Town Hall Room Bookings for 2020.
Proposed Decision:
To have a nil increase for fees and charges for Parks, Open Spaces & Town Hall Room Bookings for 2020
Summary of Reason for Decision:
To have a nil increase for fees and charges for Parks, Open Spaces & Town Hall Room Bookings for 2020.
Reason for Decision:
Due to the impact COVID-19 has had on event organisers, charities and community organisations it is proposed to have a nil increase on our fees and charges for the hire of parks, open spaces and Town Hall Room Bookings for the period of 2020. Reminisce Music Festival would be exempt from this decision as approval has already been granted for their revised hire fee. Bookings for parks, open spaces and Town Hall rooms will only be considered once permission from Senior Directors has been granted for the reintroduction of events and gatherings and will be inline with Government guidance.
Risks Associated with this Decision:
Risks of groups using alternative local authority spaces.
Measures to Redress Risk:
The fees have been reviewed so that they will encourage users to return to our parks.
