To approve the replacement of internal doors to reduce risk and comply with fire regulation
Proposed Decision:
To improve the level of fire compartmentation, prevent the spread of fire, smoke and hot gases in the event of a fire and protect the means of escape, the identified doors be upgraded to offer a minimum of one half hour (FD30s) fire resistance. Doors to Bedrooms (Cherry, Acorn 1 and 2 Units) · Doors between Lounge/Kitchen area &sleeping accommodation (Cherry, Acorn 1 and 2 Units) · Door between Kitchen area & office accommodation (Community Hub Unit) · Doors to Storerooms (Cherry, Acorn 1 and 2 & Community Hub Units) · Doors to Offices (Cherry, Acorn 1 and 2 & Community Hub Units) · Door to Staff Room (Community Hub Unit) · Door to Medication Room/Oxygen Storage Room (Community Hub Unit) · Door to proposed Treatment Room (Community Hub Unit) · Door to Main Switch Room · Door to Main Boiler Room · Door to Main Kitchen · Door to Laundry Room A8 Continued…. · Doors to Hot Water Storage Cupboards (Cherry, Acorn 1 and 2 & Community Hub Units) · Door to Sleep-in Room · Door to Mascerator Room · Door to Smoking Room for permanent resident These will conform to current standards and be fitted with intumescent strips and smoke seals.
