An opportunity has arisen for a Health & Safety Officer within the Corporate Risk Management Section, located in the Corporate Services Department. The Section comprises of the Health & Safety, Risk Management and Resilience functions and its objectives are to provide a risk based comprehensive service to all departments.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced person to join our team. Educated to Nebosh Certificate level, with at least 3 years’ experience in a Health and Safety role (post certificate attainment). You should also be able to provide evidence of continuing professional development.
You will have comprehensive knowledge of health & safety legislation and best practice, along with experience of policy development, provision of advice, risk assessment and workplace audit, within a large organisation. Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills are also essential, with the ability to react promptly to changing demands.
The appointment to the relevant grade will be dependent upon skills, abilities, experience and qualifications as indicated with the application pack. The starting point of the vacancy is SCP 22 - 25.
